Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are
Pure Amino ("we," "us") operates www.pureamino.com, an online store selling research peptides for laboratory and institutional research use only. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or purchase from this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions can be sent to contact@pureamino.com.
2. Information You Provide to Us
Orders and accounts. When you place an order or create an account, we collect your name, email address, billing and shipping address, phone number, and the contents of your order. Because our products are sold for research use only to purchasers 21 years of age or older, account creation also asks for your date of birth (used to verify age) and a general description of your research context (e.g., academic, independent, or commercial laboratory). Sign-in is passwordless: we email a one-time code to your address instead of storing a password you chose.
Research-use affirmation. Checkout requires you to affirm that your purchase is for laboratory research use only. We record that affirmation with your order, including the time it was given, as a compliance record.
Payment information. Card payments are processed by Square. Your card number is entered into and handled by Square's secure payment fields — it never touches or gets stored on our servers. Square's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Communications and reviews. If you email us, we keep the correspondence. If you submit a product review, we store the review, your rating, and your name; published reviews display your first name and last initial only.
Partner program. If you apply to our Research Partners program, we collect your name, email, and — if you become a partner — the payout details you choose to provide (such as a PayPal address or bank transfer details) so we can pay commissions.
3. Information Collected Automatically
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies to make the store work and to attribute referrals:
- Store session cookies — keep your cart and sign-in working (set by WordPress/WooCommerce; essential).
- Age & research-use acknowledgment — remembers that you accepted the site's research-use-only notice so it isn't shown on every page.
- Referral cookie — if you arrive through a partner's referral link, a cookie stores that partner's code for up to 30 days so the referral can be credited and the associated discount applied at checkout.
Our own analytics. We record aggregate page-view counts, referring sites, and daily unique-visitor estimates using a truncated, salted hash of your IP address. This first-party measurement cannot be used by us to identify you.
Third-party analytics and advertising. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand site traffic, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API to measure advertising performance. These tools receive standard web-analytics data (pages viewed, device/browser information) and e-commerce events such as products viewed, items added to the cart, and completed purchases with their order value. Where the Conversions API transmits contact details for ad-measurement matching, they are hashed before transmission. Google's and Meta's use of this data is governed by their own privacy policies, and you can limit their tracking through your browser settings, ad-blocking tools, or the opt-outs in Section 6 of this policy.
4. How We Use Information
- To process, ship, and provide support for your orders;
- To verify that purchasers meet our age and research-use requirements, and to keep compliance records of research-use affirmations;
- To send transactional email — order confirmations, shipping updates, sign-in codes, and account notices;
- To send a reminder email (which may include a discount code) if you leave items in your cart with your email entered — each such email includes a way to opt out;
- To operate the Research Partners program — attributing referred orders, calculating commissions, and paying partners;
- To prevent fraud and abuse, including rate-limiting and screening automated submissions;
- To measure and improve the website and our advertising, as described in Section 3.
We do not send marketing newsletters without your consent, and we do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
5. Data Retention
Order records, including the research-use affirmation attached to each order, are retained for as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and regulatory-compliance purposes. Account information is retained while your account is active. Abandoned-cart records are deleted on a rolling basis after roughly 90 days. Aggregate traffic statistics are retained for up to about 400 days. Email correspondence is kept as long as it is relevant to an ongoing relationship or obligation.
6. Your Choices
- Email: transactional order email is necessary to serve you, but cart-reminder emails include an opt-out, and you can ask us at any time to stop non-essential email.
- Cookies: your browser lets you block or delete cookies; blocking essential cookies may prevent the cart and checkout from working.
- Analytics/advertising: ad-blocking tools and browser tracking protections prevent the Google and Meta tags from loading. You can also manage ad preferences directly with Meta and Google.
- Access and deletion: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@pureamino.com and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. Note that we may need to retain order and compliance records that the law requires us to keep.
Depending on where you live (for example, California and certain other U.S. states), you may have additional statutory rights to know, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We honor such requests as required by the law that applies to you, through the same contact address.
7. Security
The site is served over HTTPS; payment card data is handled exclusively by Square's PCI-compliant systems; passwords are not stored for shopper accounts (sign-in uses one-time email codes); and administrative access to our systems is restricted and hardened. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with measures appropriate to the risk.
8. Age Requirements
This website sells research materials to purchasers 21 years of age or older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current revision, and material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
